Lemon Yellow Ranunculus

Lemon yellow ranunculus, rustic yellow rose, and vanilla carnation….

…making/creating these paper flowers have been taking a LOT of my time in the last week. While I love using yellow in crafts, a yellow-themed centrepiece is a little bit out of my comfort zone. I find yellow difficult to work with and yellow flowers difficult to make look sophisticated. That said, I kind of like the change. Getting out of my comfort zone should do me some good and make me grow.

I quite like this photo of the flowers – it’s very moody. It’s as if a storm is brewing in the background and there’s just enough light for the yellow to shine through.

Ok…now back to making these flowers….
